Paradis: Director
GCSE Biology and Chemistry Tutor
Hi, I’m Paradis, a DBS-certified tutor for GCSE Biology, Chemistry, and KS3 Science. I recently graduated with First-Class Honours in Neuroscience with a keen interest in the cognition behind learning and development. I am now studying Dentistry at the University of Dundee.

My experience tutoring has shown me that each student is different in their learning styles, therefore I tailor every lesson to the individual needs; whether that be breaking down topics into easily digestible units or jumping straight into the toughest questions that can come up on the exam. I believe it is never too late to stretch for top marks, I have seen students jump over 3 grades in a matter of months. Exams can be an incredibly stressful time for students and so I would love to work together to help build your scientific and educational confidence! Whether you are trying to expand your understanding in science or pushing for an exam I am dedicated to help you reach your goal.

Keyona
GCSE and A-level English and Music
ABRSM Theory
Hi! I'm Keyona - an English Literature, Language, and Music tutor for GCSE and A-Level students. In 2023 I graduated with a Master’s degree in Modern and Contemporary Literature from the University of St Andrews. Now, I am an English Lecturer at Merton College in London, and have taught music theory for eight years.
Throughout my time as a tutor and at university, I recognised that each student is slightly different, which determines my approach to exercises and discussions. Quite often, students will find the arts don't necessarily have the same formula you can memorise in STEM-based subjects, however, there are certains methods that can be applied to almost any essay-based assignment or exam that will guarantee results.
Exams can be an incredibly stressful period for students and I aim to help alleviate any pressure and concerns they may face. The key to success is practice and confidence, and that is just what I want to instill in my students.

Anagha
GCSE and A-level Maths
Hi, I'm Anagha Varma, a DBS-certified Mathematics tutor for the GCSE and A-Level.

I'm a Mathematics student at King's College London with a passion for teaching. When taught right, I believe that most students would enjoy and excel in Maths. Using activities, videos and guided problem-solving sessions, I have been able to nurture a love for Maths and help students get their target grades.

I help students understand the intuition behind concepts and show them where they could apply them, giving them a better understanding of the subject. Exam season can be stressful, and I hope to guide students through papers and boost their confidence!

Sonali
GCSE Maths and Physics
Hi, I'm Sonali - a GCSE Maths and Physics tutor, and I study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds.
In the past, I have taught Gujarati, where I worked closely with a student who had global special needs, and then went onto becoming the main teacher for a class of ten students. This opportunity enabled me to develop great communication and leadership skills.
Having studied Maths and Further Maths A-Level, I have practiced and gained many revision techniques, which I explore with students in my lessons. I always recommend doing past paper questions, as it allows the student to understand what to expect in exams.
I am flexible in lessons by working around students’ schedules, adhering to their needs and adapting my teaching style when necessary. Additionally, I am aware of the stress that these subjects can cause some students and thus, am always patient with them – if I need to repeat myself several times, I am more than happy to do so.
I always find fun and interesting ways to have my students engaged – this way students look forward to their next lesson with me.

Cyrus
GCSE and A-level Chemistry, Physics and Maths
Hi - My name is Cyrus and I'm studying my masters in Chemistry at the University of St. Andrews.
My aim is to create a confident and inspiring environment for students so they can further question and learn about Chemistry and Maths - through theory or exam questions. I believe believing in yourself and being confident are by far the most important attributes needed to succeed at GCSE and A-level exams, hence my teaching style focuses on a holistic approach to content to ensure students score as highly as possible.

Studying Chemistry builds a plethora of quantitative skills which are applicable to many professions. The three stems of Chemistry (Organic, Inorganic and Physical) are constantly intertwined within content, showing a great example of problem solving skills which is why I love the subject.

Anokhi
GCSE Biology
Hi, I’m Anokhi, a second-year biology student at the university of St Andrews, and a biology GCSE tutor.
My passion for the subject not only secured my place on the Dean’s list for academic achievement, but it is also what makes me an enthusiastic and well-equipped tutor.
Having spent the majority of my A-levels online, I understand the challenges of virtual learning, and can apply not only what I learnt from that, but also the different methods I used to keep up my grades during this time.
Whether it’s revising the content or working on past paper questions, I have no doubt that my excitement for the subject will be infectious!

As a medical student with a strong foundation in the sciences and experience teaching kids in Fiji, I am passionate about helping students understand complex concepts and achieve their academic goals. I have gained a wealth of knowledge and techniques during my own studies, and I am confident in my ability to effectively tailor my teaching methods to each student's unique learning style. Whether through personalized activities, visual aids, or breaking down complex concepts, I am dedicated to finding the approach that works best for each individual student.

Alicia
GCSE & A-Level Geography
Hi I’m Alicia – A GCSE and A-Level Geography Tutor
As a BSc Geography graduate from Loughborough University I have already had previous experience tutoring university modules to first year students and am looking to bring this to helping students achieve the best possible grades in their GSCE and A-Level exams. Having achieved a 9 at GCSE and an A at A-Level I feel as though I am well placed to do this.

Throughout my academic career I have noticed that within the classroom environment the methods of teaching are not well suited to all types of learners. I saw this pattern continue with my own experience of online learning at school and university. I want to help bridge the gap that has been lost between student and teacher due to the lack of support to all types of learners by providing tailored sessions to students to account for their needs and help provide the support they lack in a classroom environment.

I use a mostly exam-based method where I focus on preparing the student towards approaching different exam questions, as well as recapping material and providing targets for the students to reach in order for them to reach their full potential in a fun and rewarding way.

Megan
GCSE & A-Level History
Oxbridge/UCAS/Personal statement Prep
Hi, my name is Megan and I am a second year History PhD student at the University of Cambridge. After graduating with a BA (2022) and MPhil (2023) from Cambridge, I took a year out to work as a secondary level History teacher, before resuming my studies.
I am passionate about engaging students in the study of the past and encouraging them to develop a real passion for History. My aim is to support students to reach their academic goals, acknowledging that a pupil’s own confidence, alongside knowledge of the curriculum and exam technique, is key to achieving this.
I have extensive tutoring and classroom experience, and am well-placed to provide tuition in History at GCSE and A-Level across a range of exam boards. I particularly enjoy supporting students with developing their essay writing skills, which will serve them well regardless of their future plans. I also mentor students looking to apply to Oxbridge, providing interview practice and personal statement support throughout the process.
History is for everyone, and it is my hope that my tutoring instills in students a belief in themselves, confidence in their skills, and a love of the past!
